Storybook Learning: Goldilocks and the Three Bears Unit Study
In this post, I’m sharing a fun and engaging Goldilocks and the Three Bears unit study you can do with early learners! Using the classic fairy tale as our theme, get ready to explore literacy, math, science, sensory play, and character development through hands-on activities and creative storytelling. From sequencing the story and sorting sizes, to making porridge and building bear dens, this unit will bring the story to life across the curriculum. Perfect for homeschoolers, teachers, or parents looking to make reading time more magical!
I saw the story was listed in What Your Preschooler Needs to Know, by E.D. Hirsch, Jr., and Linda Bevilacqua. And I decided to create a fun unit study aimed at Preschoolers through Kindergarteners.
LITERACY ACTIVITIES:
Read the basic story aloud to the child. I have included one with the unit study or you could choose a retelling of your choice.

There is also a rebus story to read along with your child included in the Activity Pack. This should be cut out and placed together as a book. It also works as a sewing activity with yarn.
Sequencing Cards are included to allow the child to retell the story themselves.
